As noted, the DDoS attack that the sites were subjected to was carried out from abroad.
The cyber attack is attributed to the Russian group Killnet, which operates on the principles of hacktivism and specializes in carrying out DDoS attacks on countries they believe support Ukraine.
The Service said that Killnet made such attacks on government sites in the EU countries and NATO web infrastructure, and in recent days the sites of state organizations in Romania were attacked. Now Moldova is taking the necessary measures to repel attacks on public infrastructure and minimize their consequences.
The occupiers wanted to immediately destroy the entire cyber defense of Ukraine
On April 2, SBU speaker Artem Dekhtyarenko noted that many cyber attacks on the resources of state authorities and military command and control have been identified and neutralized.
“The greatest number of them fell on the night of the invasion – it was then that the enemy wanted to destroy the entire cyber defense of Ukraine. However, the effective work of the SBU and other cybersecurity agencies did not allow the aggressor to use cyberspace to gain military advantages,” – he declared.
As noted, the SBU neutralized the attempts of the invaders to paralyze the strategically important electronic resources of Ukraine or use them to spread propaganda. In addition, it was possible to prevent hacking of IT systems of critical infrastructure facilities, telecom operators and the media.
Recall that the hacker group Anonymous said that it had hacked into the database of a construction company working on projects in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
