Madison police investigate gunshots on East Side early Monday | Crime

Madison police said they investigated reported gunshots on the East Side early Monday morning.

Multiple callers reported hearing four to seven shots in the area of Milwaukee Street and Dempsey Road about 1:50 a.m. Monday, Lt. Jennifer Hannah said in a statement.

Officers and deputies searched the area for evidence, but found no shell casings, damage or injured people, Hannah said.
